Vertical Herb Garden

Since my husband and I live in a condo we do not have much private outdoor space. So I needed a creative space saving idea for my herb garden. I have seen many uses for pallets on Pinterest and figured that was a great place to start. So I hunted around for a pallet and with the help of my hubby, Mike, we constructed our very own vertical herb garden. I found a stringer pallet, with a solid back and picked up a roll of weed barrier fabric.

Mike using the staple gun attached the weed barrier to the skid as I formed pockets for the plants.

Then we filled the pockets with soil and added the herb plants. We then leaned the herb garden against our fence.

Using my silhouette machine I cut out on black vinyl the herb names. I applied them to the pallet and there you have a vertical herb garden.

Then we added flowers to our fence flower pots and planted some tomato plants.

With fresh herbs and tomatoes plants growing its starting to feel like summer.
